Product Description

StrataWood material, is a press laminated wood in crosswise direction, based on high quality and selected beech veneers, stick together with a Electrical thermosetting synthetic resins under high pressure and temperature.

The most important characteristics of the StrataWood :
Good Electrical properties
Excellent absorption of transformer oil
High mechanical strength
Low and high temperature resistance
Good resistance to the abrasion and wear

Due to the characteristics of the product , StrataWood is mainly use in the electrical oil transformers applications as high electrical insulation material as pressure beams, step blocks, pressure spare parts, top and bottom support coils, potential rings, pressure rings , spacers, etc. For his mechanical strength, StrataWood can be also use for many applications as abrasion resistance material under stress.

Standard Range of Production
Type : PWL-0 (C2B): Low Density , between 0.85 to 1.05 g/cm3
Type : PWL-1 (C3B): Medium Density, from1.05 to 1.20 g/m3
Type : PWL-2 (C4B): High Density , over 1.15 to 1.25 g/cm3

The lamination is made on crosswise veneers , and the standard thickness of the veneer is 2 mm. Under specification we can produce from 1 mm , 1,2 mm and 1,5 mm thickness veneer too.
For non electrical application and according specific requirements , we can produce in a sheets on parallel veneer.
Thickness range , from 10 mm to 100 mm
